It is so easy to fall in love with Barcelona, a city both wild and sophisticated, which holds immense beauty intermixed with everyday joy and chaos. Most days travel is on foot. Walking through art nouveau entryways in consistently mild Mediterranean weather to pick up milk. Stepping on world renowned tile work covered in multicolored pigeons. There is Art around every corner, but the pigeons are art too in their way. One my children and I delightedly dubbed “queen of the fountain”. She perched haughtily behind as they posed for a photo, framed and encircled by the historical architecture she sat on.
